The IOASD Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences is committed to maintaining the highest standards of editorial integrity, transparency, and academic excellence in scholarly publishing. The journal follows internationally recognized principles of ethical publishing and editorial best practices to ensure the quality, credibility, and reliability of the scientific record.
Editorial Independence
The editorial team of IOASDJMPS operates with complete editorial independence. Editorial decisions are made solely on the basis of the academic merit, originality, scientific quality, clarity, and relevance of submitted manuscripts to the journal’s scope. Editorial evaluations are conducted without influence from sponsors, advertisers, institutions, or commercial interests.
Fair and Impartial Decision-Making
Editors evaluate manuscripts fairly and objectively without discrimination based on nationality, ethnicity, gender, institutional affiliation, religious belief, political viewpoint, or personal characteristics of the authors.
Decisions regarding manuscript acceptance, revision, or rejection are based exclusively on:
· Scientific significance and originality;
· Methodological validity and accuracy;
· Ethical compliance;
· Clarity of presentation; and
· Relevance to the journal’s aims and scope.
The Editor-in-Chief holds full responsibility and final authority over all editorial decisions.
Confidentiality
Editors and editorial staff are required to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all submitted manuscripts and related communications. Information concerning a manuscript may only be shared with individuals directly involved in the editorial and publication process.
Editors must not disclose unpublished manuscript content, reviewer comments, author information, or editorial decisions to unauthorized parties.
Conflict of Interest
Editors must avoid situations that could create conflicts of interest in the editorial process. Manuscripts submitted by editors, editorial board members, or individuals closely associated with the journal are handled independently to ensure impartiality and transparency.
Editors must recuse themselves from handling manuscripts in which personal, professional, institutional, or financial conflicts of interest may exist.
Ethical Oversight
The editorial office is responsible for ensuring that all published content complies with accepted standards of research ethics and publication integrity. Editors may request supporting documentation, ethical approvals, informed consent statements, or additional clarifications where necessary.
The journal does not tolerate plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, falsification, citation manipulation, or any form of unethical publishing conduct.
Handling of Misconduct
Editors are responsible for investigating allegations of ethical misconduct involving submitted or published manuscripts. Where concerns arise, the journal may take appropriate editorial actions, including:

· Rejecting manuscripts;
· Publishing corrections or retractions;
· Issuing expressions of concern; or
· Informing relevant institutions or authorities when necessary.
All investigations are conducted fairly, confidentially, and in accordance with recognized publication ethics practices.

Editors are responsible for maintaining the academic quality and integrity of the journal. The editorial team works to ensure that published articles contribute meaningfully to scientific knowledge and meet accepted scholarly standards.
The journal reserves the right to revise editorial policies and procedures whenever necessary to strengthen publication quality, ethical compliance, and editorial transparency.
