Preservation & Archiving Policy

The IOASD Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences is committed to preserving the integrity, accessibility, and long-term availability of its published scholarly content. The journal implements recognized digital preservation practices to ensure that articles remain securely archived, permanently accessible, and reliably citable for researchers, authors, institutions, and the global scientific community.

Digital Preservation and Archiving
IOASDJMPS employs multiple preservation measures to protect its published content from data loss and to ensure long-term accessibility. These measures support the permanence, discoverability, and integrity of the scholarly record.

The journal supports digital preservation through:

·        Permanent online availability of published articles.

·        Preservation of article metadata and full-text PDF files.

·        Assignment of a Crossref Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to every published article.

·        Regular backup and secure maintenance of journal files and databases.

·        Long-term preservation through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN).

·        Archiving through the Internet Archive.

Open Access and Permanent Availability
IOASDJMPS is a fully open-access journal. All published articles are freely available online immediately upon publication without subscription or registration barriers. The journal is committed to ensuring continuous public access to its scholarly content.

Integrity of the Scholarly Record
Published articles constitute the permanent scholarly record. Where corrections, retractions, or withdrawals are necessary, the journal follows internationally accepted publication ethics and editorial best practices. Any post-publication updates are clearly documented to maintain the accuracy, transparency, and integrity of the scholarly record.

Self-Archiving
Authors are encouraged to maximize the visibility of their research by archiving their work. The journal permits authors to deposit and share:

·        Preprint (submitted manuscript before peer review).

·        Accepted manuscript (peer-reviewed and accepted version).

·        Version of Record (final published article).

These versions may be archived in institutional repositories, subject repositories, personal or institutional websites, and non-commercial scholarly sharing platforms. Authors should include a complete citation, DOI, and a link to the published article whenever possible.

Policy Review
The journal periodically reviews its preservation and archiving practices to ensure compliance with evolving international publishing standards and to strengthen the long-term preservation, discoverability, and accessibility of its published scholarly content.
