Author Guidelines
Authors intending to submit manuscripts to the IOASD Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences are requested to read the following instructions carefully and prepare their manuscripts in accordance with the journal guidelines. Manuscripts that do not comply with the prescribed format and ethical standards may be returned for correction prior to peer review.
Manuscript Preparation
Manuscripts must be prepared in clear and concise English and submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx). Authors should ensure that the manuscript is grammatically accurate and professionally edited before submission.
Page Formatting
Manuscripts should be prepared according to the following specifications:
· Paper Size: A4
· Font: Times New Roman
· Font Size: 10 pt
· Line Spacing: Single-spaced
· Margins: 1 inch on all sides
· Layout: Single-column format
All pages should be numbered consecutively.
RESEARCH ARTICLES
Research articles should be organized under the following headings:
· Title
· Author Name(s)
· Author Affiliation(s)
· Corresponding Author Details
· Abstract
· Keywords
· Introduction
· Materials and Methods
· Results
· Discussion
· Conclusion
· Acknowledgements (optional)
· References
Title
The title should be concise, informative, and accurately reflect the content of the manuscript.
Author Information
Provide the full names of all authors along with their institutional affiliations and designations. The corresponding author must provide a valid email address and contact number.
Abstract
The abstract should not exceed 300 words and must summarize the objectives, methodology, major findings, and conclusions of the study in a single paragraph without subheadings.
Keywords
Authors should provide 5–10 keywords relevant to the manuscript, separated by commas.
Introduction
The introduction should clearly describe the background, significance, objectives, scope, and novelty of the study with relevant literature support.
Materials and Methods
This section should provide sufficient detail regarding experimental procedures, materials, analytical methods, statistical analyses, and ethical approvals to enable reproducibility of the research.
Results and Discussion
Results should be presented clearly and logically with appropriate interpretation and discussion of findings. Tables and figures may be included where necessary.
Conclusion
The conclusion should summarize the important findings and scientific implications of the study.
Acknowledgements
Authors may acknowledge funding agencies, institutional support, or contributions from individuals who assisted in the research but do not qualify for authorship.
REVIEW ARTICLES
Review articles should provide a comprehensive, critical, and scholarly overview of a specific research area. Such articles are generally expected from researchers with substantial expertise in the relevant field.
The manuscript should include:

· Author Information
· Abstract
· Keywords
· Main Body of the Review
· Conclusion
· Acknowledgements (optional)
· References
The abstract should not exceed 300 words.
SHORT COMMUNICATIONS
Short communications are concise reports of significant findings and preliminary studies of immediate scientific importance.
The manuscript should contain:
· Title
· Author Information
· Abstract
· Keywords
· Main Text
· Conclusion
· Acknowledgements (optional)
· References
Short communications should generally be limited to approximately 2000 words excluding abstract and references.
CASE REPORTS
Case reports should describe unique or clinically significant cases contributing valuable medical or pharmaceutical insights.
Case reports should be arranged under the following headings:
· Title
· Author Information
· Abstract
· Keywords
· Introduction
· Case Report
· Discussion
· Conclusion
· Acknowledgements (optional)
· References
The manuscript should generally not exceed 1500 words excluding references.
The case report section should include relevant patient information, methodology, clinical observations, and ethical considerations including informed consent and institutional approval where applicable.
REFERENCES
IOASDJMPS follows the APA Citation Style for references and citations.
References cited within the text should include the author surname and year of publication, for example:
· Single author: (Raju, 2018)
· Multiple authors: (Raju et al., 2018)
References should be arranged alphabetically at the end of the manuscript.

TABLES AND FIGURES
Tables and figures should be placed appropriately within the manuscript near their first citation in the text.
Tables
· Tables should be numbered consecutively.
· Table titles should appear above the table.
· Tables should be clear, editable, and free from color shading.
Figures
· Figures should be of high resolution and submitted in JPEG or suitable image format.
· Figure numbers and captions should appear below the figure.
· Authors are responsible for obtaining permission for copyrighted images where necessary.
All tables and figures should be cited appropriately within the manuscript text.
